Patiala- The accused was injured in a police encounter near village Phagnan Majra located on Patiala-Sirhind road.
SSP Varun Sharma, while talking to the media after assessing the scene, said that the miscreant Gurcharan Singh Kalu, who had snatched a Scorpio from the Tripari area of ??Patiala belonging to the Gharuan area, was injured in an encounter with the Patiala police today.
SSP Varun Sharma said that the accused first fired four times at the police with a 32 bore pistol and during the retaliatory action, the accused Kalu was hit in the leg by a bullet. Eight cases have already been registered against the accused under various sections.
