Ratia, July 24- A meeting of officials from relevant departments and brick kiln operators in the area was held on Friday at the Mini Secretariat office under the chairmanship of SDM Surendra Singh. Various issues related to brick kilns operating in the subdivision were discussed in detail, and necessary information was obtained from officials and kiln operators.
He directed the concerned officials to periodically visit and inspect brick kilns operating in their areas. He said that during the inspections, necessary records, licenses, permits, and other necessary documents related to the brick kilns should be checked, and it should be ensured that all brick kiln operators are operating in accordance with the prescribed rules and regulations.
SDM Surendra Singh instructed officials that if any brick kiln is found violating regulations or lacking necessary documentation during inspections, necessary action should be taken as per the regulations. He stated that the concerned departments should work in coordination to monitor brick kiln activities and submit inspection reports periodically.
During the meeting, the SDM urged brick kiln operators to ensure full compliance with administrative guidelines and relevant regulations. He directed all operators to maintain records, CCTV cameras, and recordings related to their brick kilns, keep licenses up-to-date, and provide the necessary documents to officials during inspections.
He stated that ensuring compliance with regulations is everyone's responsibility, and any negligence will be taken seriously. He instructed brick kiln operators to ensure adequate provision of clean drinking water and proper toilets for workers employed at the kilns. He urged workers to be treated with respect and kindness, and to provide a safe and comfortable working environment for them.
He also told the operators that underage children should not be made to do any kind of labor or work. Pay special attention to the education of the children of laborers and encourage them to get them enrolled in nearby government schools and send them to school regularly, so that no child is deprived of education.
On this occasion, Naib Tehsildar Balwan Singh, Police Station in-charge Ashok Kumar, AFSO Nirmal Kanta, Labor Inspector Fatehabad Kamlesh Rani and brick kiln operators of the area were present.
