Faridkot, September 24:- Dedicated to the Agam Purab of the great Sufi saint Baba Farid Ji, the S. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon Memorial Welfare Society (Regd.), Faridkot, organized mega blood donation camps at Sheikh Farid Vocational Centre and Verka Kotkapura Road, Faridkot. The camps were organized with the support of Canara Bank, Rotary Club, Red Cross Faridkot, Khurmi Jeweller, Masoom Parwaz, Seer Society, Jal Jeevan Bachao Morcha, Gyan Honda, Zimmedar Tractors Sonalika, Vivek Ashram Jaito, Anant Kutia and various farmers’ organizations.
Cabinet Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khuddian specially attended the camp as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he said that such initiatives set high standards of service to humanity.
S. Khuddian said, “Blood donation is the noblest form of donation. A drop of blood brings a message of new life for a patient. Donating blood not only saves the life of a needy person, but is also beneficial for the donor’s own body.”
On the occasion, State President Gurjit Singh Harry Dhillon said that they have better plans for society in the coming times and thanked all the guests, donors, supporters, press and team members who attended. State farmer leader S. Sharanjit Singh Saran said that special honours were also presented on the occasion of Baba Farid Ji’s Agam Purab to social workers, journalist colleagues and visiting guests. On the occasion, President Gurjit Harry Dhillon thanked all political and social teams, blood bank teams, donors and supporters, including Canara Bank Faridkot, Zimmedar Tractors Sonalika, Khurmi Jeweller, Masoom Parwaz, Jal Jeevan Morcha, Gyan Honda Faridkot and Rotary International Club Faridkot, Team Sheikh Farid Sahitak Club and all media colleagues. He assured that they would continue serving in the same manner day and night.
