Garhshankar, August 17:- 53 blood donors donated blood during the blood donation camp organized by Shivalik Social Welfare Society at Vanjara Cafe Garhshankar dedicated to Independence Day. Giving information, the members of the society said that this camp was organized from 9 am to 3 pm on August 15 with the technical support of Sant Gurmail Singh Blood Bank Balachaur.
The camp was inaugurated by the members of the society and the visiting dignitaries with the national anthem. The blood donation camp was jointly inaugurated by Sant Mahapurush Baba Balvir Singh Ji, Sant Baba Makhan Singh Ji, Chief Sevadar of Sant Baba Dalel Singh Nirmal Kutia Tutomjara and Congress leader Sarita Sharma.
During this camp, various types of saplings were also distributed to the blood donors and the visiting dignitaries. The donors also provided financial assistance to the society to participate in this noble cause.
Dr. Tarsem Lal and Dr. Lakhwinder Kumar, members of the Rotary Eye Donation Society, were specially present at the blood donation camp. In their presence, journalist Phula Singh Birrampur, journalist Baljinder Kitna, Subedar Davinder Singh Birrampur and other members took a pledge to donate their eyes after death and filled forms in this regard.
