Haroli/Una (Rajveer Chopra):— The 135th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was celebrated with reverence and honor in the village of Pahlewal (Garhshankar). A large gathering of devotees and prominent dignitaries from the region were present on this occasion.
Baba Kewal Singh Ji, the Chief Sewadar (Head Caretaker) of the holy site of Tap Sthan Shri Khuralgarh Sahib, also participated in the program. Addressing the gathering, he stated that Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar enabled us to live with humanity and secured for us the right to equality. He emphasized that the need of the hour is to follow the path laid out by him and to ensure that our children receive the highest possible education, thereby helping them reach great heights of success. He further remarked that Baba Saheb should not be sought merely in statues, but rather in the bright future of our children.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Jasvir Singh Garhi, Chairman of the SC Commission, stated that in order to propel society forward, it is essential to prepare children for high-ranking services within the executive and judicial branches of government. He also delivered a message urging the community to remain united.
Deputy Speaker Sardar Jai Kishan Singh Rori remarked that Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar does not belong to any single caste, class, or community, but rather to the entire nation. The Constitution drafted by him grants equal rights to all citizens. He added that if he holds the position of Deputy Speaker today, it is solely a testament to Baba Saheb's vision and the Constitution he created.
Among the many dignitaries present on this occasion were Baba Kewal Singh Ji, Sardar Jasvir Singh Garhi, Sardar Jai Kishan Singh Rori, Gurlal Saila Ji, and Surjit Singh Khanpuri.
