Nawanshahr, 7 February- Social awareness organization “Savera” has termed the forced deportation of Indians living illegally in America in handcuffs as “violation of human rights”. It is very unfortunate that America, the flag bearer of human rights, is violating human rights. The statement of External Affairs Minister Shri S. Jaishankar is highly condemnable in which he has said that people who went to America illegally have been deported earlier also and there is nothing new in this. Earlier, Indians living illegally were deported to India without handcuffs through chartered planes. But why was it not done this time? The External Affairs Minister should disclose this. Social activist and convener of “Savera” Dr. Ajay Bagga said that by deliberately landing the plane in Amritsar, an attempt has been made to show Punjab, Punjabis and Punjabiat in a bad light so that Punjabis can be defamed all over the world. Not landing the plane in Gujarat and Delhi despite having 33 people each from Gujarat and Haryana is a sinister conspiracy to defame Punjabis. Dr. Bagga has appealed to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi that efforts should be made to bring back Indians living illegally in the US with respect. He requested the countrymen not to waste lakhs of rupees and try to go abroad illegally. He appealed to the youth to acquire technical education, as a skilled person can also get good employment in the country. Appealing to adopt a loving and respectful attitude towards the youth who returned from the US, Dr. Bagga requested the leaders of social organizations, religious institutions and political parties to visit the homes of these youth and try to boost their morale.
