
Van Mahotsav Celebrated by Planting Moringa and Shisham Trees
SAS Nagar, June 28: The Punjab Environment Society (Regd.) celebrated Van Mahotsav by planting moringa (suhanjana) and shisham (tahli) trees in a park near Gyan Jyoti School in Phase 2, Mohali.

On this occasion, Raja Kanwarjot Singh said that planting trees is essential for environmental conservation. He emphasized that if everyone resolves to plant and care for at least one tree.
it will not only improve the environment but also greatly benefit future generations. He noted that planting trees during this season is highly beneficial. He added that this is just the beginning, and the initiative will continue throughout the rainy season.
On this occasion, the General Secretary of Punjab Environment Society Tejinder Singh Saini, retired Divisional Forest Officers Jasmer Singh Sahota and Balbir Singh, Municipal Councillor Rajinder Singh Rana, Baljinder Singh, B.K. Verma, and other residents of Phase 2 planted trees and took an oath to care for them.
