Names of shops-institutions should be written in Punjabi-SDM.

Nabha/Patiala, November 29 - As per the instructions of the Punjab Government, as per the steps being taken for the promotion of Punjabi language, Tarsem Chand S.D.M. A special meeting was organized by NABHA in collaboration with District Language Office, Patiala, in which District Language Officer, Patiala Dr. Manjinder Singh and Darshan Buttar, President of Central Punjabi Writers Sabha (Regd.) Punjab besides representatives of other organizations of the region were present.

Nabha/Patiala, November 29 - As per the instructions of the Punjab Government, as per the steps being taken for the promotion of Punjabi language, Tarsem Chand S.D.M. A special meeting was organized by NABHA in collaboration with District Language Office, Patiala, in which District Language Officer, Patiala Dr. Manjinder Singh and Darshan Buttar, President of Central Punjabi Writers Sabha (Regd.) Punjab besides representatives of other organizations of the region were present. SDM Nabha Tarsem Chand said that Punjabi language is a rich heritage with us, we should feel proud of making it the language of conversation and working. Under the letter issued by the Punjab Government, he has appealed to write all the names correctly in Punjabi on all the shops, educational institutions, banks and roadside signboards of the area. District Language Officer Patiala Dr. Manjinder Singh read in detail the instructions given in the 'Punjab State Language Act' made by the government and the amendment letter issued and the cordial initiative being shown by the government to give due respect to the Punjabi mother dialect. Supported and appealed to make it successful.
Darshan Buttar, President, Central Punjabi Writers Association Punjab, expressed the richness of Punjabi and invited people to adopt it.
Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, General Secretary, Nabha Social Welfare and Cultural Club, said that Nabha has been a major center of language and literature where Bhai Kanh Singh Nabha has composed the great text of Punjabi language 'Mahan Kosh' which is a boon for the lovers of Punjabi language. That's why we have to understand the importance of Punjabi.
