Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, August 30: Under the leadership of MLA Mohali Kulwant Singh, the trade wing of Aam Aadmi Party sent ration kits, juice-biscuit kits, water, flour and rice to the Pathankot flood-affected areas.
On this occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that the people of the border areas are facing a difficult time and the people of Mohali are standing with them. He said that a high-level committee has been formed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to monitor the relief and rescue operations in the flood-affected districts, so that timely help can be provided.
The MLA said that the Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs and Aam Aadmi Party workers are personally going to the spot and helping the people. He further said that the spirit of brotherhood and service that Punjabis have shown by coming together at the village level is an example in itself.
On this occasion, Trade Wing Secretary Ranjit Pal Singh and District President Tarlochan Singh Matour said that relief material has been sent by MLA Kulwant Singh after giving the green signal, so that the flood victims can be provided with necessary help.
