Hoshiarpur, September 17- Democratic Teachers Front Punjab met ADC Oishi Mandal regarding the problem faced by BLOs engaged in special correction of election votes.
Giving information in this regard, DTF State Joint Secretary Mukesh Kumar, Sanjeev Kalsi and Pensioner Leader Satpal Kaler said that the delegation demanded that a department of educated unemployed people of Punjab should be formed and the entire work of elections should be taken from these unemployed people and they should be given due honorarium as per DC rates.
This will not only reduce unemployment but also reduce the burden on employees of various departments. Keeping in mind the September test and children's education, teachers should not be asked to work on elections. Employees engaged in SIR should be given at least one month to complete the given work.
Admission of children of all government officers should be made mandatory in government schools. The leaders said that if their demands are not heeded, they will be forced to take the path of struggle.
