Mandi Gobindgarh, December 23 – The School of Nursing of Desh Bhagat University (DBU) organized a “Fresher Party” to warmly welcome the new batches of B.Sc Nursing (1st semester) and GNM (1st year) students. Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Dr. Puneet Girdhar, Registrar PNRC Mohali, Dr. Anu Girdhar, Professor, National Dental College, Derabassi were present on the occasion.
Other prominent attendees included President Desh Bhagat University Dr. Sandeep Singh, Vice President Dr. Harsh Sadrvati. The program began with Shama Roshan. Principal of the School of Nursing Prof. (Dr) Lavsampooranjot Kaur formally welcomed the guests. Dr. Puneet Girdhar and Dr. Anu Girdhar shared their experiences and inspired the students to remain steadfast in their work and strive for excellence.
Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, while addressing the gathering, blessed the gathering and assured the unwavering support of the university in the academic and personal development of the students. Cultural performances like Bhangra, Giddha etc. were performed brilliantly by the students.
Vagish and Jashandeep were crowned as Mr. Fresher, while Guneet and Deepika were crowned as Miss Fresher. Rahul and Ajayveer were honored with the title of Mr. Personality.
Similarly, Maisha, Jatinder and Gurveen won the title of Miss Charming. Abhisruti and Ekampreet were in the Miss Beautiful category. Meanwhile, Vishal and Bhavesh were crowned as Mr. Handsome. Dr. Prabhjot Singh, HOD of the School of Nursing, thanked the guests, dignitaries, faculty, and students for making the event a success.
