Class Four Government Employees Union Punjab, Health Department Workers spraying medicines from house to house in Punjab submitted a memorandum of their demands to the Health Minister- Darshan Lubana.

Patiala 21 August: Under the leadership of Class Four Government Employees Union Punjab (1680), the anti-larval workers who have been spraying malaria medicines from house to house in cities, villages and towns in Punjab, where the governments and the health department administration have been continuously turning a blind eye for a long time, submitted a memorandum of their demands and problems to the Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh Ji after forming a large deputation and holding a rally in Punjab.

On this occasion, the state president of the union, Darshan Singh Lubana, general secretary Baljinder Singh, city president Ram Lal Rama, Balbir Singh, Shiv Charan, Balbir Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Narang Singh Senior Vice President, Rajesh Golu, Desh Raj, Dharminder Singh Nathani etc. leaders were present.
Referring to the demands of the AT Larva workers in the health department which were handed over to the health minister, state president Darshan Singh Lubana said that these workers are not given minimum wages, 6 months of work and 6 months of breaks are given in a year. No safety kits are given for spraying poisonous medicines, uniforms, government holidays, salaries are paid arbitrarily by the malaria officers. These salaries are deducted and given contrary to the instructions of the government.
But it is not given through banks, this is a big corruption. This is not regular work, this is also corruption in the department. No area has been fixed for spraying medicines. Darshan Lubana said that these workers have been continuously exploited economically and in terms of facilities for a long time, in a way, the work of spraying medicines should continue throughout the year, there is a lot of corruption in this.
The petition demanded from the Health Minister and the officials of the Health Department, these workers should be kept on regular work, services should be fixed, minimum wages should be given, government facilities should be provided, working time and area should be fixed, uniforms and safety kits should be given during work, traveling allowance should be given, identity cards should be made, all treatment during spraying should be free, and life insurance should be made at least (ten lakhs) by the government, then ex gratia grant should also be given in case of any untoward incident, complete uniforms, boots and jerseys should be given during work.
It was demanded that the vacant posts of sick assistants and anti-larva workers in the department should be adjusted on priority basis. It was demanded that all the employees in the anti-larva scheme should be kept on permanent posts.
On this occasion, after giving a memorandum to the Health Minister and the officers of the department, the leaders announced that if the demands were not resolved within 15 days through talks with the union, a protest dharna would be held in front of the office and house of the incumbent Health Minister.
