Chandigarh, September 11 - Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana, during his visit to Yamunanagar, presented a check of Rs 4 lakh as assistance to his wife Usha Rani, a resident of village Bairi, who died due to the roof of her house collapsing due to heavy rains, and expressed his condolences to the victim's family.
Chandigarh, September 11 - Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana, during his visit to Yamunanagar, presented a check of Rs 4 lakh as assistance to his wife Usha Rani, a resident of village Bairi, who died due to the roof of her house collapsing due to heavy rains, and expressed his condolences to the victim's family.
He said that he is constantly visiting the villages of his area so that he can meet the people and take stock of their situation and review the damage caused by waterlogging and rain. He also said that the Chief Minister has also announced relief for those farmers whose crops have been damaged due to rainwater. There is no need for those farmers to panic and the state government is making every effort to help the farmers.
He said that due to heavy rainfall, there was a situation of waterlogging in various places of the district. Due to which there has been a lot of damage to crops and houses. He appealed to the farmers and said that all such farmers can get their crop damage registered on the Shatipurti portal by September 15, 2025 to get their losses compensated. He appealed to the farmers and said that all the farmers whose crops have been damaged should get their registration done on the Shatipurti portal as soon as possible so that the damage to the crop can be reviewed and compensation can be provided to them so that the officials can verify it on the spot and ensure timely compensation. The Agriculture Minister said that the Haryana Government is always with the farmers and will continue to work in the interest of the farmers. He said that due to the waterlogging situation in various places of the district due to rainwater, people have had to face difficulties. But now the situation is completely normal. In this regard, the Chief Minister of the state, Mr. Naib Singh Saini, has directed all the MLAs and ministers to visit the waterlogged places and contact the people.
The Agriculture Minister said that even before this, he had reached various villages of Radaur sub-division and interacted with the people and personally inspected the damaged houses of the families whose houses have been damaged due to rain and assured the students that they would be provided with financial assistance from the government as soon as possible.
