Haryana/Hisar: DAV Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Plant Public School located in village Khedar celebrated Peace Day with great enthusiasm and joy through activities based on the color white. All the children and teachers came to the school dressed in white clothes which filled the atmosphere with peace and simplicity.
The program started with a prayer meeting in which the students presented speeches, poems and skits on the importance of the color white. The teachers explained to the children that the color white symbolizes peace, purity and unity. The classrooms were decorated with white balloons and peace messages. The young children played a game of identifying white objects and participated in drawing and craft activities.
Through the activities, these participating children gave the message that in most of the countries today, there is an atmosphere of mutual differences globally and humanity is in the grip of the horror of war. The young students gave a message to the world leaders that they should resolve their differences peacefully and not put the world in danger of a world war. We should maintain brotherhood among ourselves.
Addressing the children, Principal Komal Sharma said that we should adopt peace and purity in our lives and always move forward with positive thoughts is the basis for a beautiful and secure future. She said that such events are helpful in the all-round development of the children. All the members of the school staff were present on this occasion.
