Punjab State AIDS Control Society Deputy Director Dr. Niharika Mittal said that under this program, which will run from August 12 to October 12, health experts are going to labour chowks, schools and door to door to give information to the people about HIV disease.
And awareness is being raised about its prevention, under which Mrs. Manisha (DSRC) made the workers aware at Labour Chowk in village Madanpur. She said that quiz competitions are being conducted by putting up red ribbons in schools so that students can also get information about this disease.
While giving information about HIV AIDS and VDRL to the workers at the Labour Chowk in village Madanpur, Mrs. Manisha (DSRC) said that AIDS can be transmitted to the child due to only four reasons: having unprotected sex, injecting with an AIDS infected needle, transfusing AIDS infected blood to a patient or if an AIDS infected woman becomes pregnant.
