SAS Nagar, August 28 - Kavi Manch (Regd.) Mohali organized a monthly literary gathering at the local Phase-6 Arya Samaj Mandir, which was presided over by the president of the forum, Bhagat Ram Rangara, while Ranjodh Singh Rana and Vimala Guglani were present in the presidium. Jagpal Singh IAF (Retd.) was specially present on this occasion.
At the beginning of the gathering, grief was expressed over the deaths of Ustad Shaheed Siri Ram Arsh, artist Jaswinder Bhullar, renowned poet Malkit Nagra's mother Pal Kaur Nagra and the deaths due to floods in Punjab and its adjoining states and a 2-minute silence was observed as a tribute.
Lyricist Dhian Singh Kahlon remembered Arsh by reciting a song in his memory. Bahadur Singh Gosal presented a poem on Shaheed Udham Singh, while Mangal Gill Sahibchandia presented a song. Dalbir Singh Saroya presented a martyr, while Anshukar Mahesh presented “Maa De Doaj Eko Ek Nishanee Zindabad Hai”.
Prof Amarjit Arpan presented a poem while presenting his views on literature and Pratap Paras presented a song. Vimla Guglani presented a poem on the glory of the country and Ranjodh Rana recited his composition. Apart from this, Khushi Ram Nimana, Jagtar Singh Jog, SK Arora, Darshan Singh Kaka, Balwinder Singh Dhillon, Charanjit Singh Kaler, Pal Ajnabi and others received applause by reciting their respective compositions.
Finally, Bhagat Ram Rangara recited his poem on Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and thanked the audience. The stage was conducted by Dhian Singh Kahlon.
