Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 27 August 2025: In exercise of powers conferred under Section 6 (1) (e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, Additional District Magistrate Geetika Singh has cancelled the license of firm Fastway 1 Consultancy. The Additional District Magistrate informed that firm Fastway 1 Consultancy SCF No. 49, Cabin No. 01, 2nd Floor, Phase-11, Mohali District-Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar owner Arwaz Khan son of Mr. Abdul Qadir Khan, resident of House No. 0042/2 Burail, Sector-45, Chandigarh, UT. The resident of House No. 1247, Phase-10, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar was issued a license No. 549/IC, dated 29.03.2023, for consultancy work, which was valid till 28-03-2028.
In order to comply with the provisions mentioned in the Act/Rules, the Proprietor Mr. Arwaz Khan was instructed vide letter dated 31-03-2023 that keeping in view the conditions of the license, as per Section-4(6) of the Rules framed under the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, Section 5(iii) (b) of the Notification and Item No. 13 of the Advisory dated 14-05-2018 issued by the Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Government of Punjab, Chandigarh, monthly report should be sent and information regarding advertisements and seminars given regarding his business under Section 7 of the said Act should also be sent to the Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Government of Punjab on a half-yearly basis. Therefore, ensuring compliance under the Act/Rules, monthly report/notifications of the work being done under the Act should be sent as per the prescribed proforma. But till date the licensee has not submitted the monthly report since the issuance of the license.
The owner of the registered office had informed that Fast Way 1 Consultancy Immigration License No. 549 had already left the office on 17-1-24, in connection with which a notice letter dated 22-10-2024 was issued by registered post at the residential address of the licensee. Since no clarification/response/report was received from the licensee till date, the licensee was contacted on 24-02-2025 on phone number 95923-26156, but since no response was received, a notice was issued again on 04.03.2025. However, since no response/information was received till date, a notice was issued by letter dated 09.05.2025 giving another chance. But even after a long time, no response has been received from the licensee.
Since another firm has applied for a license at the registered office of the said firm, it seems that the licensee has left the registered office. Apart from this, as per the Tamil report dated 29.07.2025 of Tehsildar, Mohali, there is another employee living at the residential address of the licensee, who has stated that C. Arwaz Khan has moved out of here a year ago.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner informed that based on the above situation regarding the firm, the licensee has been found to have committed a violation under the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professionals Act-2012 due to non-sending of monthly reports and advertisements as per the Act/Rules and Advisory, non-compliance of the provisions of the license, non-response/clarification of the notice on time, closure of the office.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, the license No. 549/IC dated 29.03.2023 issued to the firm Fastway 1 Consultancy for the work of consultancy has been revoked/cancelled with immediate effect.
Apart from this, as per the Act/Rules, if in future any complaint etc. is received against the said company/firm/partnership or its licensees/directors/partners of the firm, then the said company/directors/partners/licensees will be responsible in every respect for it and will also be responsible for compensating for it.
