Mohali, August 24- The Headmistress of Primary School Shyampur, District SAS Nagar invited Punjab Police Pensioners Welfare Association Chandigarh Unit to plant saplings in the school on the occasion of Van Mahotsav. On Saturday, 23-08-2025, 52 saplings were planted by the police pensioners. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among the children.

Mr. Darshan Kumar Bagga, President, Mr. Ramesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, and Headmistress Mrs. Isha told the children about the importance of trees. The children contributed to planting the saplings with enthusiasm and said, "Manukh Lagave Ek Rukh" (every person should plant a tree). The children liked this activity very much. 15 members of the Police Pensioners Association and 3 teachers of the school were present.
