
EcoPravah 2025 Grand Finale at NABI Mohali Marks a Milestone in Punjab’s Greenpreneurship Movement
SAS Nagar, August 22, 2025: The five-day EcoPravah 2025 – Punjab’s First Climate Week concluded with an inspiring grand finale at the National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, reinforcing Punjab’s commitment to sustainability and green innovation.

Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the critical role of youth and innovators in shaping a resilient future. She lauded the participants for their creative solutions to climate challenges and reaffirmed the administration’s support in nurturing sustainable entrepreneurship. “Climate action is not just a global necessity, it is also a local responsibility. Platforms like EcoPravah provide the right momentum for our students, researchers, and entrepreneurs to come forward with solutions that can transform society,” she said.
The finale at NABI Mohali opened with inaugural addresses by DC Komal Mittal and Shri Ashwani Pareek, Executive Director, NABI, setting the tone for a day of impactful deliberations and showcasing of innovations.
The highlights of the finale included; Policy Panel: Policymakers and experts stressed the importance of collaborative frameworks to accelerate climate action. Academia Panel: Discussions centered on the role of universities and institutions in nurturing “Greenpreneurship” and serving as incubators for climate-tech solutions. Investor & Entrepreneur Panels: Investors shared their vision for supporting sustainability-focused startups, while entrepreneurs showcased their journeys, inspiring the audience with real-world impact stories.
During the Young Climatizers Pitchathon Finale, 10 student teams from IIT Ropar, IISER Mohali, and leading Ludhiana schools competed with innovative climate solutions. ECOPOLY (DCM YES School, Ludhiana) bagged first prize of Rs 25,000 while FootprintAI (BCM School, Ludhiana) second of Rs 15,000 and SAFFAU (IIT Ropar) third of Rs 10,000.
Besides, 5 climate-tech startups pitched before 15+ investors, sparking collaboration and funding opportunities.
Speaking on the occasion, the organizers Mr. Vineet Khurana, Mr. Sonu Bajaj, and Mr. Abhishek Chauhan expressed gratitude to DC Komal Mittal and NABI Mohali for their leadership and support in making the grand finale impactful. “EcoPravah has emerged as a movement for Greenpreneurship. With the guidance of leaders like DC Komal Mittal and institutions like NABI, Punjab is ready to take a national lead in sustainable innovation,” they said.
The week-long EcoPravah 2025, organized by Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce (SACC), WeIncubate, and Samvedanam, with support from over 25 ecosystem partners, spanned IIT Ropar, IISER Mohali, DCM Ludhiana, Sukhna Lake Chandigarh, and culminated at NABI Mohali.
