Hoshiarpur- A program was organized on Partition Vibhishika Smriti Diwas at the College of Law of Rayat Bahra Professional University. This program was organized under the leadership of Executive Vice Chancellor Dr. Chandra Mohan and under the chairmanship of Principal of Law College Dr. Rangnath Singh.
Former MP Avinash Rai Khanna addressed the students in it. He said that the partition of India in 1947 is the most tragic chapter in the history of the country. At that time, lakhs of people lost their lives and crores of people were separated from their families. He appealed to the youth to learn from history and strengthen brotherhood, peace and unity in the society.
Avinash Rai Khanna said that the pain of partition gives us the message that the real strength of the country lies in mutual harmony and unity. He motivated the students to contribute to the strength and progress of the country. Apart from the students of the Law and Pharmacy departments, Head of the Law Department Dr. Priyanka Puri, Head of the Pharmacy College Department Davinder Singh and teachers were present at the program.
