Mahilpur - Shri Krishna Janmashtami was organized with great enthusiasm and devotion by the devotees of Shri Krishna Ji in village Mehmadwal Kalan under the leadership of Manjit Kaur. On this occasion, the residents of the town paid homage to Shri Krishna Ji and vowed to follow his teachings.
School students put up magnificent tableaux related to his life. Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar, who was present on this occasion, said that we should all act on the teachings of Shri Krishna Ji to eliminate evil.
He also announced on this occasion that village Mehmadwal Kalan will be connected to Jejon Road and Government High School Maili will be connected with a paved link road. He felt proud that the only children's magazine in the world published continuously in Punjabi for three decades, edited by Baljinder Mann, has been registered in the India Book of Records. To make its publication more vibrant and interesting, a special grant will be issued to Sur Sangam Educational Trust. The responsibility of conducting the stage was carried out well by Rozi.
While welcoming the guests, Gurdeep Chand said that our town is famous for communal activities. Baljinder Mann thanked everyone and said that such festivals strengthen the brotherhood and connect us with the one God.
