Nawanshahr- As per the instructions of Civil Surgeon District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Dr. Rakesh and SMOPHC Muzaffarpur Dr. Geetanjali Singh, the medical team went door to door in Mubarakpur village and made the general public aware about the prevention of dengue. They said that we should not let water stagnate in and around our homes, empty buckets, tubs, tyres or any empty vessel in which water stagnates should not be kept on the roof of the house.
Because mosquitoes breed in stagnant water, the water in bowls, coolers, pots etc. kept for birds to drink should be changed daily. In case of fever, one should get examined in the nearest government hospital and take medicine.
On this occasion, Pradeep Kumar, Gurcharan Prasad Singh, Kamlesh Rani Rajinder Pal Singh (all multipurpose health workers), Kuldeep Kaur Asha worker, Numberdar Des Raj Bali, Balwinder Kaur and breeder checker etc. were present.
