
Haryana's Karnal ranked among top 15 cleanest cities in the country in Swachh Survekshan 2024.
Chandigarh, July 13 - In the results of Swachh Survekshan-2024, conducted by the Central Government to assess the cleanliness ranking of the cities of the country, Haryana's Karnal city has been ranked among the top 15 cities of the country. For this, Karnal will be honored with the President's Award. President Smt. Draupadi Murmu will present this award to Karnal Municipal Corporation in a program to be held in Diu on July 17.

For this, Karnal will be honored with the President's Award. President Smt. Draupadi Murmu will present this award to Karnal Municipal Corporation in a program to be held in Diu on July 17.
While giving detailed information, Executive Vice Chairman of Swachh Bharat Mission Haryana, Mr. Subhash Chandra, said that it is not only a matter of sorrow for Karnal city but also a matter of pride for the people of Haryana that a city of the state has been included among the 15 cleanest cities of the country.
He said that in the same way, Sonipat Municipal Corporation will be honored with the Ministerial Award for Excellence in Sanitation Works.
He said that the ranking of Karnal and Sonipat in the results of the Swachh Survekshan reflects the commitment of all of us towards the development of cities and cleanliness. We hope that this achievement will motivate us to make our cities even cleaner and more beautiful.
He said that the Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini and the Urban Local Government Minister Shri Vipul Goyal are also resolved that Haryana should not only become a dirt-free state, but also a truly clean state.
