New Delhi, June 19 - Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi turned 55 today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Mallikajun Kharge, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and other prominent political leaders wished Rahul Gandhi on his birthday. Prime Minister Modi wrote on the 'X', "Happy birthday to the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Mr. Rahul Gandhi.
I wish him a long and healthy life." Congress President Kharge and other party leaders on Thursday wished Rahul Gandhi on his birthday and said that he is a leader who fights for social justice for the downtrodden, the deprived, Dalits, tribals and backward people, and is the leader that the country needs today.
Rahul Gandhi was born on June 19, 1970 in New Delhi. He is the eldest son of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Currently, he is the Lok Sabha member from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh and the Leader of Opposition.
