Hoshiarpur- A grand Seva Skulpa program was organized at IK Gujral Punjab Technical University Hoshiarpur Campus under the able leadership of Director IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Hoshiarpur Campus Prof. Vikas Chawla. Bahadur Singh Sunet, Baljit Singh and Harvinder Singh among others were the chief guests in this event.

A large number of students also attended this program. While leading the program, the chief guests Bahadur Singh and Baljit Singh among others addressed the students and said that social service is the highest religion of life. They especially emphasized the importance of blood donation and organ donation and said that a small contribution can prove to be a blessing for someone’s life.
Sardar Bahadur Singh and others explained to the students by giving examples that by donating blood we can save the life of a patient, while by donating organs after death we can give a new life to many patients. Similarly, eye donation was called a great donation because through this we can give our eyes to a blind person and brighten his world.
Other scholars also expressed their views in the event. They motivated the students and said that youth is the age when the spirit of service is highest in a human being, therefore it is the duty of every student to contribute to social welfare.
Harvinder Singh especially shed light on the importance of eye donation. It was stated that every year thousands of people are deprived of their eyesight, while one decision - eye donation - can become a ray of hope for them. At the end of the event, the organizers thanked all the guests and students. They said that it is through programs like Seva Skalap that a sense of responsibility towards society is born in the students.
It was also appealed that every person should donate blood at least once in their life and donate eyes or organs after death, so that we can give light to lives even after our death. Finally, the guests were thanked and honored by the Nodal Officer NSS and Red Ribbon Dr. Kulwinder Singh Parmar Ji and Dr. Amit Handa Ji. On this occasion, Dr. Kulwinder Singh Parmar Ji, Dr. Amit Handa, Rajinder Kumar, Puneet Kumar and Khushwinder Kaur Ji were present.
