
Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay's birth anniversary dedicated to Antyodaya Utthan and Nari Shakti in Haryana.
Chandigarh, September 25 - The Haryana government dedicated the birth anniversary of Antyodaya founder Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay to development, Antyodaya Utthan and Nari Shakti and gifted the public with many important schemes and projects. On this occasion, during a state-level program organized at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula district on Thursday, Chief Minister Singh Saini launched the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana to strengthen the economic and social status of women and also launched a special mobile app to implement the scheme properly.
Chandigarh, September 25 - The Haryana government dedicated the birth anniversary of Antyodaya founder Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay to development, Antyodaya Utthan and Nari Shakti and gifted the public with many important schemes and projects. On this occasion, during a state-level program organized at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula district on Thursday, Chief Minister Singh Saini launched the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana to strengthen the economic and social status of women and also launched a special mobile app to implement the scheme properly.
The Chief Minister also launched a toll free number 18001802231 and helpline number 01724880500 to resolve problems encountered during registration. During the program itself, live registration of five women was also done under the scheme. The Chief Minister said that within a short time of the launch of the mobile app, about 50 thousand women downloaded this app on their mobiles and about 8000 women have registered.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister also inaugurated projects worth Rs 326.25 crore while giving away developmental projects. This includes 31 inaugurations worth Rs 78.04 crore towards strengthening the health sector and 97 inaugurations worth Rs 78.12 crore. Along with this, one project each of the Public Works Department and Urban Local Bodies was also inaugurated, the cost of which is Rs 89 crore 37 lakh.
In his speech, the Chief Minister said that the government's goal is to reach the person sitting in the last line with development plans. Inspired by the Antyodaya philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, the Haryana Government is committed to the upliftment of every section of the society, especially women and weaker sections.
While extending greetings and best wishes on the occasion of Navratri and the birth anniversary of Karma Yogi and hero of the nation, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, he said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay believed that a nation can become great only when its women are safe, educated and respected. Taking this thought forward, the Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana is being implemented.
About 20 lakh women will get benefit in the first phase
The Chief Minister said that the benefit of this scheme will be given to those widows and single sisters between the ages of 23 and 60 years whose family income is up to Rs 1 lakh. Eligible women will start receiving financial assistance of Rs 2100 per month in their bank accounts. The special thing about this scheme is that no matter how many women in a family are eligible, all will get the benefit of this scheme. In the first phase, about 20 lakh women of the state will get the benefit of this scheme.
He said that registering through the Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana app is very easy, so there is no need to go to any Kamal Service Center or Center. Women who are eligible for this scheme till September 25 can register from today itself. The Chief Minister appealed to the sons that those who are below 23 years of age today should celebrate their 23rd birthday by registering for this scheme.
The Chief Minister said that by starting the Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana today, he has completed 42 out of 217 resolutions of his Sankalp Patra. By the end of this year, 90 resolutions will be completed. With the launch of this scheme today, those sisters of the state who are working hard day and night to support their families due to poverty will get economic and social security.
Historic initiative for women empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that following the ideals of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made provision for 33 percent reservation to increase the participation of women by making them self-reliant. On September 17, the Prime Minister launched the nationwide Healthy Women Empowered Family Campaign and the 8th Nutrition Month in Madhya Pradesh on his birthday.
He said that a target has been set to make 5 lakh women Lakhpati Didi in Haryana. So far, 2 lakh 13 thousand women have been made Lakhpati Didi. Similarly, 100 women have been given free drones and training under the Drone Didi scheme. Provision has been made for 50 percent leadership to women in Panchayats, operation of Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteens and Vita Bikri Kendras and one-third of ration depots to women.
Out of the 80 colleges opened in the state for higher education, 30 are for girls. So that no girl child is deprived of higher education due to poverty, the government has made arrangements to provide free education to girls up to post-graduation. An expanded crèche policy has been implemented in the state to take care of the small children of working women. Haryana is the first state in the country to implement this policy. Apart from this, 4 thousand play-way schools have been opened.
He said that to give momentum to the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, Lado Sakhi Yojana has been started. Under this scheme, Lado Laxmi Sakhi will be deployed to take care of the health of pregnant women. Every Lado Sakhi will be given an incentive of Rs. 1,000 on the birth of a girl child. Women's helpline number 1091 has been established for the safety of women.
Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that let us all together take a resolution that we will build a developed India and a developed Haryana where every palace is empowered in itself and full of self-respect.
Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana is a historic initiative for women empowerment - Harvinder Kalyan

He said that women have got new energy and confidence with many schemes like Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Lakhpati Didi, Self Help Group, Durga Shakti App, Mahila Pension launched by the Central and State Governments. Taking this series forward, this scheme launched by the Chief Minister will give a new direction to the lives of women.
He said that our ancient and ancient tradition teaches us to respect and worship women. Today, I specially appeal to the society that where we talk about women empowerment, we also have to give our daughters that culture, where they should provide a safe environment to their daughters and give them an opportunity to move forward. The government is seriously taking concrete steps in this direction, but this responsibility also belongs to every person in the society.
Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana will become a milestone in the direction of women empowerment - Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi
On this occasion, Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Caste and Backward Class Welfare and Anthondaya (Service) Minister Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi said that this day is a matter of pride for the people of Haryana, because inspired by the spirit of Anthondaya, the Chief Minister has taken a new initiative by launching the Lado Lakshmi Yojana for sisters and daughters and launching a mobile app.
He said that the Haryana government has taken various initiatives from time to time for the welfare and upliftment of women. Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana has been started today for the empowerment of women in the state. Under this, mothers, sisters and daughters above the age of 23 years whose annual family income is less than Rs 1 lakh will be given financial assistance of Rs 2100. This amount will reach directly in the accounts through DBT.
He said that the objective of this scheme is to solve the various challenges faced by women, which will increase their economic independence and improve their health and well-being. For this, the Haryana Government has made a provision of Rs 5,000 crore in the annual budget of 2025-26 for this scheme. Mr. Bedi said that with the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana mobile app, women will not need to go to any government office or CSC center. They will be able to apply easily on their mobile.
He expressed confidence that this scheme will bring positive changes in the lives of lakhs of sisters and will prove to be a milestone in the direction of women empowerment in the society. He thanked the Chief Minister and said that this government is standing with the people round the clock and is giving top priority to women's welfare.
Jyotiba Phule ignited the flame of women's education - Kumari Aarti Singh Rao
Addressing the program, Health Minister Kumari Aarti Singh Rao said that Mahatma Jyotiba Phule ignited the flame of education movement. From Kalpana Chawla to Sunita William, women like them have set an example of women empowerment. The country has been enlightened by women's values. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has emphasized on women empowerment.
He said that today, along with launching the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, the Chief Minister has inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth crores of rupees of the Health Department. These include the inauguration of medical colleges in Bhiwani and Koriyawas Mahendragarh. He said that the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi from Panipat and today more than 900 sex ratio has been achieved in 15 districts.
