SAS Nagar, August 28- Keeping in view the serious situation of floods in Punjab since the past few days, 5 trucks of relief material have been sent from Verka Milk Plant Mohali today for the flood affected people. This relief material includes 500 (five hundred) packets of rice, water bottles, dry milk, flour, sugar, biscuits, bread, matches and tea leaves.
These trucks were flagged off by Milkfed Chairman Mr. Narinder Singh Shergill and Milkfed MD Mr. Rahul Gupta.
On this occasion, they said that Milkfed is sending this material to the flood affected areas of Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur and Pathankot today to help the Punjabis who are suffering from the floods. He said that apart from this, relief material will also be sent to the flood affected people by other plants of Verka Milkfed.
On this occasion, besides others, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, Sardar Bant Singh, Mr. Ranjit Singh, Sardar Baljinder Singh, Mr. Maninderjit Singh, Mr. Maninderpal Singh, Mr. Jaswinder Singh, Mr. Gurinder Singh, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Mr. Harket Singh, Mr. Surjit Singh Verka Mohali Dairy, General Manager Sardar Bikramjit Singh Mahal were also present.
