Patiala, Jan 28- Deputy Commissioner Patiala Dr Preeti Yadav today chaired a meeting with officers regarding the prevention of use of China Door at the District Administrative Complex. During the meeting, she emphasised that use and storage of China Door is an offence under the law and legal action will be taken against anyone found violating this directive.
Dr Yadav reiterated that the use of China Door has already been banned by the administration. She informed all the concerned departments about the ban and directed them to strictly enforce these guidelines.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the serious hazards associated with the use of China Door, including frequent accidents involving people, birds and animals. The harmful effects of China Door also extend to the environment, as the bodies of birds trapped in the door often pollute the surrounding environment. This synthetic/plastic string is particularly dangerous for kite flying, causing fatal consequences for both humans and birds.
Dr Yadav directed the Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) to make school children aware about the dangers of China string and ensure its ban in their respective constituencies. He also directed the police department to form teams and conduct continuous checking drives to enforce the ban. Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Isha Singhal, Assistant Commissioner Richa Goyal, SDM, Chief Minister's Field Officer Navjot Sharma, District Attorney and DSP of Police Department and other officers were present in the meeting.
