Amardeep Singh Shergill Memorial College begins 32nd academic year.

Nawanshahr- Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi said today on the occasion of the beginning of the 32nd academic year of Amardeep Singh Shergill Memorial College that the Punjab government is continuously striving to further raise the standard of education, as a result of which Punjab is making great strides in the field of education in the country.

Nawanshahr- Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi said today on the occasion of the beginning of the 32nd academic year of Amardeep Singh Shergill Memorial College that the Punjab government is continuously striving to further raise the standard of education, as a result of which Punjab is making great strides in the field of education in the country.
Addressing the students after the Bhog of Sri Sukhmani Sahib Path at Gurdwara Sahib in the college campus, Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi said that there is no alternative to education and by getting higher education, students can reach the heights of success in life.
He called upon the students to uphold moral values, punctuality, the importance of discipline and progressive thinking in life. He wished the students on the occasion of the beginning of the new session and said that there are unlimited opportunities for success in life which can be achieved by getting higher education.
Speaking after the function, Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi said that the Punjab government is continuing the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme in a proper manner and providing its benefits to the eligible students.
He said that there has been no protest demonstration regarding the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme in the state for the last 3 years, which clearly shows that the students are getting the benefits of this scheme.
He said that during the last 5 months as Chairman, the Commission has not received any complaint related to this scheme. He said that the education sector is a special priority of the Punjab government, to which every facility is being provided to the students with full attention to make them keep pace with the times.
College Principal Manjit Singh welcomed Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi, Aam Aadmi Party senior leader Harjot Kaur Lohtia and the students. On this occasion, Surjit Kaur Resham Singh Educational and Social Welfare Society Chairman Surjit Singh Bisla, Gurinder Kaur Bisla, Sarpanch Pankaj Lohtia, Sohan Lal Dhanda, Tehsil Welfare Officer Shubham Pankaj, Sarpanch Harminder Singh, PTA Wise Chairman Surinder Singh Dhidsa, Manch Moderator Dr. Nirdosh Kaur and the entire staff of the college were present.
