Boothgarh (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar) September 8: As part of the ongoing 'Dengue Mass Survey' in the district, a camp was organized in the slum area of ??village Jujhar Nagar under Primary Health Center Boothgarh. Senior Medical Officer Dr. Alkjot Kaur said that ORS packets and chlorine tablets to purify water were distributed to the people who reached the camp.
Apart from this, a mass survey was conducted in the village by forming health teams. People were also given detailed information about the symptoms, causes, prevention and treatment of dengue fever. She said that in the villages of health block Boothgarh, under the 'Every Friday, Dengue War' campaign, house-to-house checking is being done and people are also being made aware.
Health teams are conducting dengue and malaria tests at different places so that people can be protected from this deadly fever in time. Students of nursing colleges, village health committees, panchayats etc. are being included in the campaign. He said that dengue is a life-threatening fever, to prevent it, water should not be allowed to stagnate at any place. If dengue fever occurs for any reason, there is no need to panic. The patient should be brought to a government health institution where dengue test and treatment is absolutely free.
