Haryana's big achievement in Direct Benefit Transfer.

Chandigarh, September 16 - The Haryana Government has transferred more than Rs 1.06 lakh crore through its Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes so far. In the financial year 2024-25 itself, an amount of Rs 17,824.10 crore was transferred to 2.78 crore beneficiaries through 14.82 crore transactions.

Chandigarh, September 16 - The Haryana Government has transferred more than Rs 1.06 lakh crore through its Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes so far. In the financial year 2024-25 itself, an amount of Rs 17,824.10 crore was transferred to 2.78 crore beneficiaries through 14.82 crore transactions.
This information was given in the fourth meeting of the DBT Advisory Board held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi. The Chief Secretary said that this has not only ensured benefits to lakhs of citizens in a timely, transparent and effective manner, but the number of fake and duplicate beneficiaries has also come down significantly. This achievement shows the commitment of the state government to check leakages and increase accountability.
Shri Anurag Rastogi while giving strict instructions to all the departments said that the concerned nodal officer should update the beneficiary data on the state DBT portal regularly. Also, smooth integration of PPP and Aadhaar distribution should also be ensured so that efficiency, accuracy and transparency in service delivery can be increased.
It was informed in the meeting that till now 36.75 lakh potential fake or duplicate beneficiaries have been identified and removed from the system, due to which the state government has directly saved. A total of Rs. 10,187.13 crore has been saved from DBT since the year 2014-15. Till now 156 DBT schemes have been uploaded on the state portal by 26 departments, which include 96 state schemes and 60 centrally sponsored schemes (CSS).
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary of Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes Welfare and Anthondeya (Service) Department Mrs. G. Anupama, Principal Secretary of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Mr. D. Suresh, Commissioner and Secretary of Finance Department Mohammad Shine and senior officers of various departments.
