These views were expressed by Ravinder Kaur Sidhu, Training Commissioner of Bharat Scout Guide and Red Cross, and Upkar Singh, President of Gyan Jyoti Education Society, while distributing prizes to the winning teams during the quiz competitions organized by Shri Kaka Ram Verma, Chief Trainer of First Aid, Safety, Health Awareness Mission, and Ram Saran, Assistant Thanedar of Traffic Education Cell, at Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Model Town. They said that through these competitions, students are being prepared to face future challenges, incidents and accidents and to help the victims.
Principal Mrs. Naresh Jain and Vice Principal Bhagwant Singh expressed their gratitude and said that the students were asked questions about disaster management, civil defense, first aid, fire safety, traffic rules, laws, principles, cyber security, drugs, crimes, pollution, heart attacks, cardiac arrest, CPR recovery position, ventilator, artificial respiration, unconsciousness, shock, fire, gas leakage, electric short circuit and help line numbers and the questions were also explained.
Vocational teacher Navjot Kaur said that 22 teams participated in these competitions while more than 100 health care students gained knowledge about the related subjects through these competitions. Kaka Ram Verma expressed his gratitude and said that along with education, by providing information and training to students, teachers, and citizens on disaster management, civil defense, first aid, and fire safety, they can be made into helping angels for the victims.
