First installment released for financial assistance to Granthi Singhs of flood-affected areas

Fazilka/Chandigarh- Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar Surjit) President Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh today met the flood-affected families in village Jhangar Bhaini and village Ghurka of district Fazilka. On this occasion, as announced by the party, Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh with the help of senior leadership released the first installment for the Granthi Singhs of flood-affected villages.

Fazilka/Chandigarh- Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar Surjit) President Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh today met the flood-affected families in village Jhangar Bhaini and village Ghurka of district Fazilka. On this occasion, as announced by the party, Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh with the help of senior leadership released the first installment for the Granthi Singhs of flood-affected villages. As announced by the Shiromani Akali Dal for the flood-affected areas, the first installment of financial assistance of Rs. 5,000 per month has been released to 25 Granthi Singhs serving in Gurdwara Sahibs of 13 villages of Fazilka district. Along with this, fulfilling the demand of the villagers, 5,000 liters of diesel were also provided for the village on the spot.
Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh shared the pain and suffering of the villagers and assured that the Shiromani Akali Dal will always stand with the affected families. Giani Harpreet Singh took detailed information from the flood affected people about what kind of things are most needed to bring their lives back on track (rehabilitation) after the water dries up so that the party can provide help in that way in the coming days.
On this occasion, Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh gave full assurance to the people of the affected area that the Shiromani Akali Dal will always stand with them. Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh also made a special appeal to the youth of Punjab including party workers and leaders that the way the affected families were helped during the flood days, another step should be taken in the same way so that the farmers can be supported along with rehabilitation. The soil can be removed from the farmers' fields so that the farmers can sow wheat at the right time.
On this occasion, former ministers Sardar Surjit Singh Rakhra, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi Rakhra, Sukhwant Singh Sukhi Panjland, Gurlal Singh, Charan Singh, Harmandeep Singh Chimnewala, Gurjinder Singh Grewal, Gurvinder Singh Bittu, Gurjant Singh Jaimalwala, Nirmal Singh Jalalabad, Sher Singh Kandhwala, Bachittar Singh Samsabad, Gurbhej Singh and Narayan Das were specially present with him.
