Ahmedabad- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that ‘Swadeshi’ should be everyone’s life mantra. Mr Modi said that his government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative has created a conducive environment for both global and domestic manufacturers.
After flagging off Maruti Suzuki’s first electric vehicle e-Vitara at the brand’s Hansalpur facility in Gujarat, Modi said, “The world will drive ‘Made in India’ electric vehicles.”
Modi asked people to buy only indigenous products and said that it is not important who invests, but what is important is that the hard work to make the product should be done by Indians. He said that in this way Maruti Suzuki is also an indigenous company.
He said, “Today is a great day for ‘Make in India’ as e-vehicles made in the country will be exported to 100 countries. The world will drive 'Made in India' electric vehicles.' Modi said that India is also taking off in the semiconductor sector.
