Hoshiarpur- Police administration has started placing Akali leaders under house arrest before the appearance of former Punjab minister and senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Vikram Singh Majithia in the Mohali court.
To prevent a large crowd from gathering during Vikram Singh Majithia's appearance, many senior Akali Dal leaders were placed under house arrest and some were stopped on the way to Mohali.
This morning, the outpost in-charge Purhiran along with police personnel reached the residence of senior vice president Shiromani Akali Dal constituency in-charge Hoshiarpur Jatinder Singh Lali Bajwa and placed him under house arrest.
On this occasion, while talking to the media, Jatinder Singh Lali Bajwa said that the present government of Punjab has declared an undeclared emergency, the purpose of which is to defame the Akali Dal leadership, implicate them in false cases and arrest them and weaken the Shiromani Akali Dal.
He said that just like the Central Government is using agencies, the present Punjab Government is also misusing the agencies.
He said that the militant workers of Shiromani Akali Dal will always fight for Panth, Punjab, Punjabis and Punjabiat and will always stand against the atrocities on Punjabis under the leadership of S. Sukhbir Singh Badal and Bikram Singh Majithia.
Lali Bajwa said that in the glorious 105-year history of regional party Shiromani Akali Dal, only Shiromani Akali Dal has stood firmly with the Panth and Punjabis and will face every atrocities of the government with unity and conviction in the times to come.
