Rajpura, March 19: Under the leadership of Principal Dr. Chander Prakash Gandhi of local Patel Memorial National College Rajpura and under the supervision of Head of Physical Education Department Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Prof. Trilochan Deep Singh Grewal and Harpreet Singh Coach, a seven-day workshop on physical and mental health through folk games, "Mobile Chhodo Bachpan Se Naata Jodo" was started.
Addressing the commencement of the workshop, Principal of the college Dr. Chander Prakash Gandhi said that this workshop would be helpful in the overall development of children. On the occasion, Dr. Mandeep Kaur said that about 60 students and teachers are participating in this seven-day workshop.
She said that in these seven days, folk games played in childhood like Pitthu, Bandar Killa, Gopi Chander, Shakkar Bhenji, Andi Chhadappa, Kotla Chapaki, Geete, Leekan Marna etc. and many other games would be played. On the first day of the workshop, teachers and students together enjoyed the games Kotla Chapaki and Bher Bakri.
On this occasion, Dr. Mandeep Singh, Dr. S.S. Rana, Dr. Gurjinder Singh, Dr. Hina Gupta, Prof. Avtar Singh, Dr. Harinderpal Kaur, Dr. Amanpreet Kaur, Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Dr. Pawandeep Kaur, Dr. Rashmi, Dr. Minky, Prof. Mandeep Kaur, Prof. Priya, Dr. Maninder Kaur, Prof. Nandita, other teachers and all students were present.
