Camp organised in connection with National Road Safety Month

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 16: As part of the National Road Safety Month campaign in the district, the Transport Department, in collaboration with ASI Janak Raj, in-charge of the education cell of the traffic police, lady constable Khushpreet Kaur, Ranpreet Singh Secretary State Transport Authority, Kuljit Katoch, AI In-charge Minister Car Session Punjab PB 01 and Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran SAS Nagar, conducted free eye tests for car drivers who came to get their vehicles passed and in addition to informing teachers and students about traffic rules, an awareness seminar was organised with car drivers near Phase 3B2.

Information was given about installing high security number plates on vehicles, wearing helmets on two-wheelers, parking vehicles properly instead of parking them on the road, using indicators while turning left and right, not violating red lights, not driving under the influence of any intoxicant, not bursting crackers on motorcycles and not modifying them. It was told to strictly follow all the traffic rules so that road accidents can be reduced.
Information was given about calling helpline numbers 112 and 181 for getting and giving help from the police as well as calling 1930 for cyber crime. On this occasion, the medical team of Sohana Hospital and the regional transport officer of the district Pradeep Singh Dhillon were also present.
