Hoshiarpur:- On the birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa reached Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk in Hoshiarpur and paid tribute to his statue by offering flowers. A large number of representatives of party and social organizations and common citizens were also present on this occasion.
MLA Jimpa said that Shaheed Bhagat Singh happily sacrificed his life for the freedom of the country at the age of just 23. His life is a source of inspiration for all of us. He appealed to the youth to follow the ideals of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, stay away from evils like drugs and make education, service and patriotism the basis of their lives.
He said that the Punjab government is also working continuously to realize the dreams of the martyrs. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is paying special attention to education, health and employment so that the future of the youth can be bright.
On this occasion, the MLA also said that the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh is not just a day of tribute, but also a day of awareness and commitment to bring change in the society. He appealed to the people to come together and contribute to the creation of a prosperous, healthy and drug-free Punjab.
Mayor Surinder Kumar, Councilor Mukhti Ram, Advocate Amarjot Saini, Bharat Bhushan Verma, Sumesh Soni, Varinder Vaid, Ashwini Chhota and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
