Every village of the country will be connected to cooperatives by 2029 - Amit Shah.

Chandigarh, October 3 - Union Home and Cooperation Minister Mr. Amit Shah said that India has become the largest milk producing country in the world today. Under White Revolution-2, more than 75 thousand dairy committees have been established across the country and about 40 thousand dairy cooperatives have been strengthened. He said that the government's goal is to connect every village of the country with the cooperative movement by the year 2029.

Chandigarh, October 3 - Union Home and Cooperation Minister Mr. Amit Shah said that India has become the largest milk producing country in the world today. Under White Revolution-2, more than 75 thousand dairy committees have been established across the country and about 40 thousand dairy cooperatives have been strengthened. He said that the government's goal is to connect every village of the country with the cooperative movement by the year 2029.
Union Minister Mr. Amit Shah was addressing the public present at the inauguration of the expansion plant of Sabar Dairy (Amul) plant in IMT Rohtak on Friday. This plant will produce 150 metric tons of curd, three metric tons of lassi, 10 metric tons of yogurt and 10 metric tons of sweets daily. He was accompanied by Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini and many dignitaries.
Addressing the farmers present in the program, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah said that the dairy sector in India has made the fastest progress in the world with a growth rate of 70% in the last 11 years. Compared to the year 2014, the growth in the dairy sector has increased from 86% to 120%. He said that in the year 2014, where 140 million tonnes of milk was produced in the country, it has now increased to 249 million tonnes.
The production of indigenous cow milk has also increased from 29 million tonnes to 50 million tonnes, which is a remarkable achievement. Today, 6 crore new farmers in the country are associated with the dairy sector. As a result, the per capita milk availability has also increased from 124 grams in 2014 to 471 grams per day at present.
In his address, welcoming the maternal power of Haryana, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah said that the maximum number of soldiers from Haryana are serving in the paramilitary forces and the Indian Army. He said that every third medal of the country is brought by Haryana sportsmen and Haryana's contribution in the country's food storage is also at the top.
He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has fulfilled the long-standing demand of the Ministry of Cooperation for the cooperation sector and has set new milestones in this sector. He said that in the last four years, the Ministry of Cooperation has worked to strengthen the foundation of cooperation with the support of the state governments.
He said that today Amul Dairy has started the country's largest milk, lassi, sweets and yoghurt plant in Haryana. The people of Haryana consume the most milk and lassi in the country, so the aim of this plant is to improve the supply of Haryana as well as the NCR region. He said that Sabar Dairy, which started with three people from Sabarkantha district of Gujarat, first expanded its operations to 9 districts of Gujarat and today it does a business of Rs 85 thousand crore in the country and the world.
He said that the company has promised that the capacity of this plant today will be doubled in the next one year. He said that this plant will benefit every district of the entire Haryana and lakhs of farmers will be connected to it. This dairy will prove to be a milestone in the prosperity of Haryana.
He promised the cattle farmers of Haryana that the benefits of the embryo transfer and link determination scheme for cattle will be extended to all farmers. He said that today there is a need to promote beekeeping and organic farming in Haryana. He said that the Central Government has set three targets for the benefit of animal husbandry farmers, which include a circular on animal feed, dung management and residues of milk producing animals.
Addressing the farmers, Mr. Amit Shah said that the National Gokul Mission has proven to be a boon in this sector. The Animal Husbandry Fund has been established to help farmers. He said that in future, the work of setting up plants will also be done three times faster so that milk products can go all over the world and the farmers of the country become self-reliant. This is the goal of the Central Government to encourage research in this sector and establish state-of-the-art plants.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh, Union Minister of State for Cooperation Shri Krishan Pal Gujjar, Haryana Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma, BJP State President Mohan Lal Kaushik, Gujarat Minister of State for Cooperation Bhikhu Parmar, MP Dharambir Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Ramchandra Jangra, Chairman of Saber Dairy Samhilbhai B Patel, Chairman of Amul Ashok Bhai Chaudhary along with other dignitaries and administrative officers were present.
