Hoshiarpur:- New doors of education are going to open for the children of the historical village of Bajwara in Hoshiarpur and its surrounding areas. MLA Hoshiarpur Brahm Shankar Zinpa said that a historic resolution has been passed in the recent house meeting of the Municipal Corporation, under which a government school and a war memorial will be built on the land of the Municipal Corporation adjacent to the village Bajwara.
This resolution has been sent to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Local Government Department for final approval and after getting approval, the work will start soon.
MLA Zinpa said that earlier there was an aided school in the village Bajwara, which was closed during the previous government. Due to this decision, the children of the area had to face a lot of difficulties, because there was no big school left nearby.
He said that education is the fundamental right of every child and to fill this gap, the Municipal Corporation House Committee has passed this resolution. In the House meeting, it was unanimously decided that a government school will be built on approximately four acres of municipal land adjacent to the District Judicial Complex and a war memorial will be built on 1.1 acres of land.
He said that the said place is adjacent to village Bajwara and with the opening of a government school here, the children of Bajwara and nearby villages will get a new center of education. This land will be leased to the concerned departments for 33 years and the lease amount will be fixed as per the rules fixed by the price and rent determination committee.
Zimpa said that this war memorial will work to convey the immortal story of the martyrs to the coming generations and instill a sense of patriotism among the youth. On the other hand, with the construction of a government school, quality education will be available nearby to the children of poor and middle class families.
He said that currently the construction of the Armed Forces Preparatory Institute is also underway in village Bajwara and after the completion of these projects, this area will become an important center of education and patriotism.
