Aam Aadmi Party brought its government into existence by promising to make temporary employees permanent in its manifesto, but even after completion of 3 years of this government, vocational teachers are being exploited by various companies under the outsourcing scheme.
20 February Nawanshahr- NSQF Vocational Teachers have been struggling for the last 10 years to get their demands fulfilled from the government. Aam Aadmi Party brought its government into existence by promising to make temporary employees permanent in its manifesto, but even after completion of 3 years of this government, vocational teachers are being exploited by various companies under the outsourcing scheme.
This government had promised to increase the salary and make outsourced employees permanent, but even today NSQF Vocational Teachers are working 100-100 kilometers away from their homes for the last 10 years on very low salary. Expressing these things, Ranjit Singh, President of NSQF Vocational Teachers Front Punjab District Shabs Singh said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has also given a statement several times in the Assembly that employees are being exploited by the companies and we will stop all this and make them permanent.
Vocational teachers have held meetings with the Education Minister, Aam Aadmi Party President Aman Arora and several other cabinet ministers in the last 3 years, but none of the demands of these teachers were resolved in these meetings. He said that on 6 February 2025, the NSQF Vocational Teachers Front had gheraoed the Education Department.
A meeting was held with Education Minister Harjot Bains on 13 February, in which he informed that their demand letter regarding salary hike has been sent to Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema. The Vocational Teachers Front has appealed to Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema to make concrete arrangements for their salary hike and policy.
