Hoshiarpur - For the Lok Sabha Elections- 2024, all Assistant Returning Officers of the district will be given training regarding EVM / VVPAT to the staff appointed for polling. Therefore, 8 CUs, 8 BUs and 8 VVPATs have been provided to all Assistant Returning Officers of the district per Assembly Constituency.
Giving this information, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal said that these machines are from the warehouse/strong room of EVM and VVPAT built on the backside of the district administrative complex, Deputy Director Horticulture-cum-Nodal Officer for EVMs District Hoshiarpur Jaswinder Singh given in the presence of Assistant Deputy Director Horticulture-cum-Nodal Officer for VVPAT District Hoshiarpur Balwinder Singh and Assistant Director Horticulture-cum-Assistant Nodal Officer for VVPAT District Hoshiarpur Jaspal Singh.
