Nawanshahr - Under the able guidance of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa and Rajiv Verma Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Nodal Officer Sweep, District Assistant Sweep Nodal Officer Satnam Singh, BLM Girls College Nawanshahr to Politics Assistant Professor Hardeep Kaur and Unkar Singh Computer Faculty of the department, under the able leadership of Madam Kulwinder Kaur, in-charge of Government Senior Secondary School Aur, informed the staff and students about the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

Satnam Singh declared it mandatory for the students to cast their vote and also encouraged them to use their vote. And it was said by them that the students must exercise their right to vote as citizens of India and cast their vote because in the future only the youth can maintain the country's democracy. He said that the students in and around their villages should vote and ask each and every person to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections and under the Election Commission's slogan "This time 70 par" of district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Cooperate and make every effort to cross the voting turnout of 75.
Assistant Professor Hardeep Kaur also informed the students about the statistics of vote polling that women vote more than men and therefore as a citizen it is the personal duty of every person to exercise their right to vote. Experiments must be done so that a strong democracy can be established and also the students were encouraged to contribute in the field of education as well. The students were encouraged to vote regardless of religion, caste and race. And it was said that students who are above 18 years of age can also cast their vote online. On this occasion, voter's pledge was given by Unkar Singh. Shifali Sharma, Dharam Singh, Surjit Kumar, Neeru Bala, Pradeep Kumar etc. were present on this occasion.
