SAS Nagar, April 24 - Punjab BJP Vice President Dr. Subhash Sharma has said that the Congress party has always been taking advantage of the country by dividing it in the name of religion and caste. During a press conference with district BJP president Sanjeev Vashisht in local sector-71, he said that the manifesto issued by the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections is dividing the sections of the society. According to which the Congress is talking about conducting a survey based on caste-religion and wealth.
He said that Sharma said that the Congress, which ruled the country for 5 decades, imposed dictatorial decisions on the people of the country every time. This time he himself has written in the manifesto that if his government comes to power, he will conduct a survey based on caste, religion and wealth in the entire country. He said that according to this, if someone has more property than required, the government will confiscate it and distribute it among other classes. He said that this survey of the government is going to divide the people of the country on the basis of religion because after this survey, whoever has more than one house, land or gold and silver will be confiscated by the Congress.
He said that the Congress had brought such a policy twice before in 1960 and 1973 in which the Congress had said that every tax payer would have to deposit 18 percent of his income to the government for 3 to 5 years. He said the Congress wants to set up a commission that will decide whether minorities should get jobs in private companies. If this happens, it will not benefit the talent of the country but a special class.
Mr. Sharma said that this time BJP is contesting in 13 seats in Punjab and in all these 9 seats if any party is giving competition to the opposition parties then it is only BJP. He said that when the election results come, it will be seen for the first time that the BJP will rise in Punjab because for the first time BJP is contesting the elections alone. After the elections, the rise of the BJP in Punjab and the fall of the Aam Aadmi Party are certain.
Mr. Subhash Sharma said that parties have announced candidates for 9 seats in Punjab and the party high command will announce their candidates for the remaining four seats including Anandpur Sahib constituency within a week. He said that political turmoil will increase in Mohali after the announcement of this seat.
When asked about the name of the party's candidate, BJP district president Sanjeev Vashisht said that everyone will work unitedly to win the seat to whomever the party will give.
