
Training provided by experts on soil testing and soil sampling
Hoshiarpur - At Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Village Falahi District Hoshiarpur, the students of the school were trained on soil testing and soil sampling by the experts of Agriculture Department and Krishi Vigyan Kendra Hoshiarpur. A total of 1000 schools have been selected for the School Soil Health Program in Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas in India as a 'Soil Testing Through Selected Schools' pilot project to respond to the work of soil testing.

Under which a soil testing lab will be established after providing soil sample testing kit in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya village Falahi of district Hoshiarpur. After taking soil samples and testing by the students and staff of the school in this lab, soil health cards will be issued to the concerned farmers. Under this program Raman Sharma and Rajeev Ranjan, Deputy Project Director of Atma Scheme of Hoshiarpur Department of Agriculture and Dr. Gurpratap Singh, scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bahowal, gave basic information about soil testing to the students and staff teachers of the school and took soil samples practically.
