PU-ISSER organised session on Philosophy of Yoga and Yogic Practices under Developed India-2047 and Fit India Mission

Chandigarh, 17 February 2025- The Interdisciplinary Centre of Swami Vivekananda Studies and Institution of Social Science Education and Research (ISSER) today organised a Session on Philosophy of Yoga and Yogic Practices at PU-ISSER under Viksit Bharat-2047 & Fit India Mission for the students of PU-ISSER in the Institutes compound as a collaborative activity.

Chandigarh, 17 February 2025- The Interdisciplinary Centre of Swami Vivekananda Studies and Institution of Social Science Education and Research (ISSER) today organised a Session on Philosophy of Yoga and Yogic  Practices at PU-ISSER under Viksit Bharat-2047 & Fit India Mission for the students of PU-ISSER in the Institutes compound as a collaborative activity.
Professor Anju Suri, the Coordinator, PU-ISSER welcomed the guests, fellow colleagues and students. She expounded on the relevance of both physical and mental fitness which is so very essential for inclusive development and our well-being. She remarked that daily mental and physical exercise is necessary for us to remain agile, alert and proactive throughout our daily routine without fatigue.
At least sixty students and faculty members of PU-ISSER participated in the Session.
After the introduction of the theme, Mr Balwinder Kumar of ICSVS briefed the participants about Philosophy of Yoga and taught several Yogic exercises to the students and participants for one-hour for improving upon their physical and mental prowess and fitness. The session was highly impactful in providing physical and mental peace to the students, increasing their level of energy and enthusiasm and in their well- being. The students were highly inspired to participate in such sessions on regular basis in future too.
Dr. Mamta, the guest faculty in ISSER on behalf of the Institute proposed formal vote of thanks to all the guests and participants.
