Jalandhar:- 133rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar was celebrated on 14th April 2024 at Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar. The event was started by the director of the institute paying tribute to the statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar by garlanding it. A large gathering of students and staff including Prof. Binod Kumar Kanojia, Registrar Dr. Ajay Bansal, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Anish Sachdeva and other dignitaries.
On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti and Baisakhi, cultural presentations were made by the students of different clubs of the institution. It included classical dance, giddha, group singing, poetry, bhangra and other spectacular performances. Prof. BK Kanojia also addressed the audience and put forward the contribution and vision of Dr. BR Ambedkar's efforts to frame the Constitution of India. He highlighted the importance of making a fresh start on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, equality, women
Emphasis on empowerment and socialism.
Professor Jagwinder Singh also highlighted the historical significance of Baisakhi and Dr. Ambedkar's efforts for this country. The students enhanced the program by presenting a skit. The program concluded with a vote of thanks In which all participants were acknowledged for their contribution.
