Nawanshahr - Red Cross De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center Nawanshahr organized an awareness camp at Government Hospital. Head teacher Baljeet Kaur presided over the camp held at Primary School Ratanda under "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan" in collaboration with Gurdas Entertainers Cultural Club Ratanda.
On this occasion, Chaman Singh (Project Director) gave information about the services provided by the Red Cross De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center and said that drug addicts can get treatment free of charge by entering this center for a month. Drug addicts may suffer from diseases like HCV, HIV. On this occasion, Gurdas Entertainers Cultural Club Ratanda honored the students who excelled in various sports and Bhangra. Athletes/students participating in other cultural programs were given medals and other sports equipment by the club. Chaman Singh (Project Director) was specially honored by Gurdas Entertainers Cultural Club Ratanda for his commendable achievement in this campaign against drugs being run by Red Cross Nasha Mukti Kendra Nawanshahr.
The Guardian of Cultural Club Ratanda while speaking gave information about the activities of the club and thanked the speakers. Finally, Baljit Kaur thanked the Red Cross team and assured that they will continue to organize anti-drug awareness camps in the future to keep children away from drugs. On this occasion Parminder Singh Ancient Art Center Chandigarh, Kanti Pal, Gurdeep Singh Football Coach, Sulkhan Singh, Satnam Singh DRC District Resource Coordinator, Rajinder Singh Teacher, Gurpreet Kaur Science Teacher, Jaswant Rai Teacher and school students, villagers were present.
