Mukul Verma praised this step of the Punjab government and said that this campaign is proving to bring positive change in the youth, through which the youth are being taken away from drugs and are being led towards a new direction in life.
He said that this is a decisive time. This step taken by the Punjab government against drugs is very commendable. We are seeing signs of change in the thinking and life of the youth.
He also emphasized that it is very important to motivate the youth to join sports, skill training and employment based activities, so that they can channel their energy in the right direction.
Verma said, "If we want to eradicate drug abuse, then positive alternatives like employment and sports must be provided to the youth. This will be very beneficial in strengthening their minds and integrating them into the society."
The meeting also stressed on the need for the government, NGOs and social institutions to come together to create a strong environment to help the youth. The 'War against Drugs' campaign is no longer just a war against drugs but is becoming a path of hope for the youth towards a new thinking, new direction and a new future.
