A visit to wheat fields with surface seeder machine technology for stubble conservation

And Krishi Vigyan Kendra Langroa visited various wheat fields planted with surfe seeder. Giving information in this regard, Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Dapinder Singh said that this year, full support has been received from the farmers for the maintenance of paddy straw. Due to which there has been a decrease in the cases of stubble fire in district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar.

             The chief agricultural officer told that the farmers who planted wheat without burning the stubble with the latest machine surface seeder technology prepared by the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. The fields of Balveer Singh village Udhowal and S Sukhdev Singh village Bohara were inspected. He appealed to all the farmers of the district that all the farmers should not set fire to the stubble by using the stubble harvesting machines. So that the district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar can become a district with zero burning and the environment can be purified.

             On this occasion Dr. Maninder Bones Associate Director Krishi Vigyan Kendra Langroa gave technical information about surface seeder machine that 40-45 horsepower tractor is used to run surface seeder machine. 14-16 kilos can be sown in a day with this machine. This machine is specially designed for small and medium farmers. He appealed to the farmers that any farmers who want to sow with this technique can contact the Agriculture Department or KVK Langaroa. On this occasion Dr. Raj Kumar Block Agriculture Officer Nawanshahr, Dr. Lekh State Block Agriculture Officer Aur, Inj Chandan Sharma Assistant Agriculture Engineer, Dr Ashwinder Kumar Agriculture Development Officer, Dr Kamaldeep Sangha Project Director Atma, Dr Kiran Assistant Professor KVK, Lakhwinder Singh ATM and other farmers were also present.
